Once again, the Triangle has several top chefs recognized by the James Beard Foundation. The Blondell Team works with families every day who are choosing to move to the Triangle or make a move within the Triangle. This area continues to thrive. A visit to downtown Raleigh or Apex and you’re guaranteed a new experience. Great shops, new restaurants or boutique hotels. This area has been beautifully designed to maximize the experience.
This year, North Carolina has EIGHT chefs in the Best Chef Southeast Category, more than any other state. Although Ashley Christensen isn’t nominated as best chef, her newest restaurant “Death & Taxes” is nominated for the Best Restaurant award. She’s also a semifinalist in the Outstanding Chef category for her Raleigh restaurant Poole’s Downtown Diner. Ashley continues to support the community through her generous donations of time and commitment to the community through her involvement with local non-profits. And she continues to give those of us who live here or just visiting an opportunity to scrumptiously taste the South.
The 8 chefs who are nominated for Best Chef aren’t new to the list of favorite restaurants. The Raleigh / Durham area has 4 chefs being recognized along with Kinston, Asheville, Davidson and Spruce Pine.
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, may we suggest visiting one of the restaurants with an opportunity to win a prestigious award. Make sure you say Thanks! They definitely contribute to the Triangle being one of the best places to live.
